A vineyard with cellar door, Café, Bed & Breakfast accommodation, plus camping grounds situated high up in the foothills of the Bunya Mountains with expansive views of the mountains and surrounding hills. Visitors and Guests are welcomed to the peace and tranquility of farm life and real country hospitality.
This property was originally a diary farm and was purchased by the current owners in 1999. The property was completely refenced (except road fence) since then and currently divided into 6 paddocks including house paddock.
The soil is a sandy loam scrub soil and dominant native trees are Brigalow, Belah and Wilga. The property is now set up for 3 main income streams which are Wine, Accommodation and Goats.
Income from the property is virtually drought proof eg under current wine licensing laws, one can purchase grapes from an outside source during droughts and or the Act of God. Under the current arrangement the Estate employs a Professional Winemaker regarded as one of the best in Queensland to make the wine at premises in Stanthorpe. The grapes are transported to Stanthorpe and brought back in bottles for storage locally.
Accommodation guests generally come from the internet and word of mouth. This is run on a B & B basis with 2 types of accommodation available. Two cabins ideal for couples and a cottage with log fire sleeping up to 9. Each cabin has its own private verandah looking into the beautiful Bunya Mountains.
Goats are sold live into the live export market or processed at a local registered abattoir for sale at the cellar door or to restaurants. Included in the sale are the 130 Boer Cross Goats.
Visitors of all ages enjoy local grey kangaroos and pretty faced wallabies.

Further Information

The Estate represents 8 years of work from the current owner and offers an excellent opportunity for a purchaser to improve the current trading figures. The owners are currently pursuing opportunities for wine export to Asia which if successful could dramatically increase wine turnover.
