Formerly the towns State School back in the 1960’s, this property was transformed into an exclusive country boutique Bed & Breakfast with timelessly adorned appointed guest rooms.

Situated less than an hour from the city of Mackay this small township is also the gateway to the Pioneer Valley (known as the tourist hub) and is ideally located for that romantic getaway or small group gathering. Nestled among the rolling hills and flowing cane fields this small town is in the heart of the Pioneer Valley. Encircled by natural beauty, big skies, open spaces and clean air, the ‘Valley’ has much to offer and it sits right at the doorstep.

The ‘Valley’ has numerous attractions, local cafe’s art galleries, novelty shops, national parks, rainforest and platypus viewing, just to mention a few of the activities available.

This delightful property still retains the outer appearance of the 1960’s school, whilst inside has been tastefully transformed into luxurious king and queen rooms with ensuites.

In addition to private rooms the guests also have access and use of full kitchen facilities, common lounge/dining room, along with large undercover outdoor area with BBQ facilities (previously the schools ‘shelter shed’ for hosting assemblies. For cooler days the enclosed verandah screams with warmth allowing guests to soak up the sun and views through abounding windows.

The current owners offer a continental breakfast to guests. However, the guests are also able to avail themselves to a 4 course dinner which is delivered directly from a local restaurant. New owners may be interested in providing full board and meals.

In addition to the Bed & Breakfast accommodation, the current owners also operate a Day Spa (optional) and have created an oasis for clients and or guests to escape for a full day of pampering with a variety of Mud Baths

Set on almost 4 acres of overlooking mountains of the nearby State Forest, this unique B & B house also specialises in intimate wedding gatherings utilising the old school assembly shelter and providing an extensive range of services.
